Think Again
Through the breeze
Standing in the open
The window so clear.
A pink twilight
Getting late at night
Looking out into the distance.
Thinking of the day
Time just ticking away
Everything so peaceful.
Up close the sun is setting
Far away clouds are coming in
Dark as a black hole.
Things finally start setting in
Time slowly ticking on
Standing at that window still
open.
The winds start picking up
Lightning fills up the sky
Thoughts start to lead to why.
Thunder crashes down deep
Standing becomes so weak
Life feels like it might end.
A foggy dust appears
The storm is near
Chaos and havoc brings tears.
When it ends
Learn to play pretend
Fear dies in time.
Tears will dry up
Sun will shine again
Just lie like others do.
Feelings so numb
Looking out that window so
clear
Blue skies all around.
Put on a smile
Laugh and play
No one will know about that
day.
