Get busy. Soon you will become the sky. Your cheeks will be the pirouettes of clouds. Your breath the winds of plains. Your eyes will be too large to see. Your tummy will rumble with the hunger of storms. You will be all this and more, only this time, You will know it. You will not feel your fingers as they rise To form the mountains. You will not own the legs of many trees. You will become The one great tree of sharing. The leaves of your skin owning the ends of the earth. Prepare yourself through prayer for the holiness That you will soon become. When you open your eyes the sun will shine on all. When you close your eyes your sleep will blanket the world. You will move as rain and ocean waves and sunbeams. The dust of the earth will be mingled With the breath that you give. It will all be you and forever new And you will know it As the way that you always were.
