Thing Inside

There is a thing inside It claws and gasps for breath Horrid thoughts reside Of the sweet release of death But it is death who in wrath Leaves me feeling so To find a now muddied path Reducing me to woe It tries to reach the light But in its hellish battle Against a growing blight My heart is left to rattle How am I to go on? When I know you're gone?
