It’s dark, cold and still, the mist has fallen, She lays beside you out of sight, Plundering your heart from all that you are, Just like a thief in the night, And she takes all your moments, hides them away, She pilfers and robs and steals, And masks your sweet tender away in her mind, So later she knows that she feels, All of your love, all of your warmth, All of your life with a care, And she can kiss you alone, alone in her mind, She kisses when you’re not aware, Because she’s the thief in the night, she picks and escapes, She loves in the cold black of dark, She searches and steals every tender of you, Because you’ve stolen her heart.
