Thick Skin

In my journey of life, I have seen I have heard a lot and of all the crimes And of all the times, I have witness man being unkind In my research and in my search I have learnt that this fur, They wear has a generational curse But I swear, I wont tear Neither will I shed a tear nor will I fear Because in these times, I have a lot to share They are not a plaque They are not unkind Nor are they one of a kind So why do you choose to treat their kind As though they are the scums of your time Why must you be so unkind How many waters must their cross How many mountains must their climb Before you men of these times stop suppressing them The fur they wear keeps them warm and it protects them from the sun So that their hearts wont be scorched By the harsh words and treatment they may receive All because mankind choose not to treat them as their equal.
