They Will Sprout

THEY WILL SPROUT
The seasons came….
The rains came….
The ground we tilled…..
The seeds provided by the government we sowed,
Our hopes swelled…
As the gardens we watched.

The season came….
The time dragged on…
The grounds remained as they were.
For the seeds to sprout we waited,
As our patience wore out,
We indulged in idle talk.

That perhaps we were provided with simmered seeds…
The gardens we watched but sprout the seeds failed…
When the government officials we consulted;
He promised us that the seeds would sprout,
We sat watching the gardens,
For the seeds to sprout…
