They Tried To Bring Egypt Back

They tried to bring Egypt back
They treated them like Israelites in captivity
They were free
But their mindsets kept them in bondage
They ate the lies
And fell for the tricks

They tried to bring Egypt back
They forgot who they were
They sold their rights
They wandered away from the light
They wore shackles
Camouflaged as jewelry

They tried to bring Egypt back
They created a playpen
Threw in toys
But built walls around the pen
Around and around they ran
No exit…no doors

They tried to bring Egypt back
Very few saw it coming…
