They Say

They Say You’re on Your Way Back to Me
But Not in the Way I Wish You to Be
They Say You Had Courage and Died a Hero
Knowing in Your Heart it Was Your Duty
To Go
They Say You Fought for Your Country as
Day Turned to Night
Until No Longer Could You Stand and Fight
They Say Your Wish Was Before You Finally
Closed Your Eyes
To Tell Me Your Sorry That it Was Not Your Plan to Die
They Say as You Held My Picture in a Tight Grasp
To Tell Me That Your Love for Me Will Forever Last
They Say You Died with a Smile upon Your Face
Knowing the Love You Have Can Never Be Replaced
They Say You Gave All and Did Your Best
But Now I Wait for You So I Can Lay You to Rest
I Stand over You as Your Slowly Lower into the Ground
But I Will Not Fear Cause Now God Has Another Angel He Has Found
For All I Have Left Is a Heart Broken in Two since I Lost My True Love
As You Sit at the Side of God Watching over Me from the Heavens above

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
