They Have Eyes But They See Not
When I look up in my distress
I do not see the sky.
Neither do i see the sun,
Nor the stars and the moon,
Yet i see the creator thereof.
By virtue of Him never failing,
He has a mouth,
He sooths my soul with it.
He has eyes,
To see me through thick and thin.
He has ears
To listen to my joys and sorrows.
He has a nose
Thus he created such sweet perfumed lillies.
He has hands,
I am an epitomy of His hands!
He has feet,
We walk together, my Lord and I.
Their idols are of silver and gold,
The work of man's hands.
They have mouths but do not speak,
They have eyes but do not see,
They have ears but do not hear,
A nose have they, but they do not smell,
They have hands but do not touch,
They have feet but they do not walk.
Trust in Him,
He is your help and your shield.
