They Come To See the Crown

The Crown!!! The Crown!!! The Crown!!!
even the Queen gave me a pass, enchanted by my class
she knows I'm built to last, and her reign has passed.
the crown is on display, I did not come to play
haven't you been told,
the crown never gets old
no time to play around, they come to see the Crown

The Crown!!! The Crown!!! The Crown!!!
you thought it was about you, not about your hat, your dress or your hairdo
to the crown, we will always be true, step back I must come through
I am the talk of the town, with my crown I can never go down
they come from all around, and they come to see the Crown.

The Crown!!! The Crown!!! The Crown!!!
Open your eyes to see, I'm true monarchy
A whole big deal, no wanna be Nations adore me.
Queen in my own right, you see
I will break this all the way down
commoner, they come from all around, and they come to see the Crown.

What a witty piece dedicated to the crown! Well done, Barbara! I enjoyed reading this lovely, light verse! Best regards. Pandita
