These Hands

I could never forget the pair of hands that raised me. They were hard working, One pair of hands were strong military hands, The other were soft and smooth, Gental to the touch like angel wings. They are the most loving pair of hands in the whole universe. There hands of my mom and dad. Those hands have been thru thick and thin with me. Even when I felt my lowest, And thought I was the worst human being on the planet. My worthiness would fall into the gutter. These pair of hands lifted me up when I fell, whipped my tears away. These hands taught me how to love, and love myself, Respect human kind. And never ever give up. These hands taught me what a mom and dad should be. I strive to maintain that every day of my life. And I pass that same greatness on to my own. Never forget the hands that raised you You never know when your hands will be needed to help those very hands that raised you. Love, Kindness, Respect is all that a mom and dad ask for. And if it wasn't for My mom and dad I would not be here writing this poem of the great love I have for them.
