There's No Looking Back
I sit here letting the phone drop to the floor
Not sure if what I hear is true,
You tell me to speak,
To say anything,
But nothing is what comes out
As my hands fall to my face,
And all I want to do is hide
I’m not ready to deal with this,
Though someone has to
I want to scream,
Let the emptiness fade deep within me
I can’t change the past,
No matter what it's already been done
I can’t sit here feeling sorry,
When in the end sorry is all, I will be
I can’t look you in the eyes,
When my eyes are lingering here inside
You can’t change a moment in time,
When time is not meant to be undone
I want someone to hold me,
To tell me this is all a dream,
But as the phone falls to the floor
I know there’s no getting this back
Put a smile on my face and don’t look back
I know in the end I’m stronger than that
