There Was You

I don't remember
The first time I saw you.
I don't remember a lot of it,
Just that it was sultry.
There was a crowd,
And then there was you.

I only remember a wave of emotions,
All different but the same at the same time.
I recall my heartbeat changing.
I recall a wave of cool,
And it wasn't out of fear, but instead of -

My love for you caught me by surprise.
It hit me like a tidal wave,
And swept me away like a hurricane.
It rages like a storm.
It's like a phenomenon
Which to this day,
For the love of me, I can't explain.
