There Was Something About Her

When he saw her walk across the hall
He couldn't believe his eyes
In his heart, there was left a hole
Ever since the first time he had seen her

Towards her, he wanted to move
But his legs were suddenly too heavy
So he stood there frozen still
And cursed himself for it

He remembered the first time he had seen her
All he had managed to say was nothing!
Not even a hi! He only watched from a distance
As she gracefully passed by and glanced at him

That glance had rocked his world to the core
It lasted only a few seconds
But he felt his insides melt
When their eyes met

Now he has a second chance
But the thought that he was gonna blow it
Made him curse himself even more
'Cause he had waited so long, for this moment

He watched as she moved about
How she carried herself!
There was something about her
That seemed to pull him to her

So he took one step forward
And another, and another
With every step he took, his heart jumped
As he came closer, he was in awe of her

She was the rare type of beautiful
Unlike anything or anyone he has ever seen
A beauty so redefining, that he was awestruck
It was now or never, and he knew it

She looked so magnificent
That he doubted if his approach, was gonna be sufficient
But at this point, he was more afraid of not trying at all
Then he was of the outcome, of what was about to go down

As composed as he could, and with a smile, he said hi
And just when he thought he had seen all there's about beauty
He saw something that warmed his heart
Her smile! So magical, as she said hi...
