There Was Once a Nation

There once a nation Dreams of our fathers past, They fought and are gone, Dream of better homeland. There tears mixed with blood, They watch their brother die, Hunger design their fate, They turn to carnival, eat their own. They fought with faith, Fighting for a better land. Once a nation that never last, It came and gone like wind. It fly away with wing, To empty cloud. It mark it name among the living. Men fought with their blood To keep it, Women loss their husband to have it. I dream of better land, Where my children could fly. Like an eagle in d sky. I dream of land of honor, Where men live like brother. I dream of land of power, Where men can protect it brother. I dream of land of justice, Where heroes are not make zero. I dream of a land of Zion, Where God is VALUED.

Very appropriate as 1917 was the first world war and Ypres was fought 100 years ago. You are 100% right in what you say, we all dream of a different land, where peace and kindness reign.
