There to Lose or There to Find
Come sit a spell,
While this story I tell,
That is not tall,
But has a moral if asleep you don't Fall.
It begins with a set of keys,
That found a way to tease.
As lost to me they seemed,
Until the streets I combed,
An hour later them I did spy,
And this no lie,
Never touched by any feet,
on a busy street.
If you are not too weary,
There is now a wallet in my story,
Like my keys it too played the tease,
As the shopkeeper I could not please,
With money for what I wanted to purchase,
Until my wallet I could trace,
Home I did go,
So, change to the shopkeeper I could show,
Ten minutes later my wallet I did spy,
Again it is no lie,
On the doorstep of the shop,
Where it did drop,
Never touched by any feet,
On a busy street.
It may seem weak,
For this moral to speak,
But it is quite sound,
"What you seek can be found,
If you Look down,
Even while wearing a frown".
