There Once Was
There was a poor boy from Earth,
Who was a poor sinner since birth,
He did what he wanted,
In God’s face he flaunted,
And found out what hell was worth.
There was a good boy who prayed,
And always worshiped God without delay,
He read the good book,
God’s plan he gladly took,
In God’s good graces he stayed.
There was a young lady who never repented,
And accepted sin as the devil sent it,
A life lived wild,
Not a Christ child,
She was bound for hell and will never relent it.
There once was man with a plan,
With an ego was big as the man,
No time for the Lord,
Or to study his word,
He will get thru life as well as he can.
There once was a man who knew God sees us,
He knew his sins were quite grievous,
He decided to repent,
So off to church he went,
And happily gave his life to Jesus.
