There Is Truth In You

The truth resides between the sun and the moon
It lays deep within all that we do
Whether we admit it or not
Dishonesty is called a web of lies because lies always get caught
Eventually what lurks in shadow comes to light
And truth is restored even without sight
For the lies that lead one astray
Eventually become lost along the way
Yet human nature fears the truth
As we often misunderstand the honesty amid our own youth
Fear itself is demeaning to its own definition
Because its strongest attribute is repetition
Repeat the mistake because you failed to learn it the first time
So instead of creating a new sentence you repeat your last line
Fear is the denial of one’s own creative mindset
Filled cranium swollen with doubt and laced with regret
I don’t want to be that hollow conditioned mind
That accepts all but sieges to seek and find
For one can only determine reality based off our own dreams
But even as individuals two can be stitched into the same seam
To discover is to have looked
Like opening up the pages of your entire conscious being’s book
I go deeper and deeper into my own rising well
Where all my own truths and intentions dwell
I finally learned to expand my voice
Staying silent is no longer a choice
I gaze back at my own life
And I survived
Better yet I caught the wave
And into its pull I gave
Dark, cold and flowing
Alone and exposed but glowing
I stand there tall
Risking more than all
I have became
A representation of what used to be and that of which will never be the same.
Changed.

Miss Izzy: There is truth in you, indeed. I'll need to read more it seems, to learn it all. Thank you for sharing with the soup. oldbuck
