There Is This Thirst

There is this thirst, yet devoid of desire
Magnetism within, our body afire
Liken it to an unending bliss burst
Transmuting urgings of lower mind erst
Narrow fears and desires, consigned to pyre

We are still, yet consciousness moves higher
Vibrational ascent through our prayer
Our wish His command, as we be nursed
There is this thirst

As a mist of bliss, no anchors do mire
There are no milestones, we seek to acquire
It matters little, if we be not first
Our movements are joyful and unrehearsed
No trace of smoke, though heart is on fire
There is this thirst

Thirst to serve Him, perhaps a milestone in and of itself! Certainly not a millstone, like the path to many milestones. Food for thought here, Seeker. :) gw
