There Is Something In There
As I passed by the old church downtown,
Walking by the doors I had to turn around,
This is a place I don't think I fit,
But there is Something in there and I have got to have it.
I feel God's voice calling me near,
It's only a church I have nothing to fear,
Spotting a dark place, I decide to sit,
But there is Something in there and I have got to have it.
I'm this pew before God's alter,
Eyes locked on the cross, my knees begin to falter,
Oh, why did I stop, I begin to regret,
But there is Something in there and I have got to have it.
What is this feeling I have in my heart?
How did this devine trouble start?
What is this warmth in my soul that I cannot forget?
There is something in me and I have it.
