Confusion and depression scream Of all the tension that does scheme Reaching into the depths of the heart Making the feelings there come apart Recklessly wrecking passions Feelings of tender compassion All the joy God sends us With His gentle spirit What do I do when I don’t know where to turn? Will I ever succeed where I’ve failed again and again? What’s come over me… this destructive sensation… Only God living in me can dissuade this temptation… To allow the enemy to disillusion me Feelings so alive that they chill me With my spirit they send a plea To let the enemy take over my dreams But God, my Father, highly esteems The child who keeps pursuing The blessings sent from above Blessings of hope, faith and love Flown on the wings of a dove Where do I go when I can’t find my way? Will God answer me when I send up a prayer… Pleading for the Holy Spirit to comfort my heart And guide me through these troubles with hope That tomorrow will bring second chances, Renewed purpose, dreams that are alive… And fill up my spirit with God on the inside. I want God on the inside, the answer to my prayers… My heavenly Father, showing that He cares. I want Him to go with me, through the good and the bad Revealing the best in me, sharing happiness when sad I need Him with me – alive in my soul, Sharing His wisdom for my worry Filling me with a new reason He is my real peace What do I do when I don’t know where to turn? Without this man called Jesus I will burn. I can’t take the chance of listening to the enemy He would love to leave me hopeless and afraid But, with Jesus, I know I can always pray And He will answer, with answers that portray True love from God, love that I depend on
