There Is Only Love

Once so judgmental
Explosive
So worried about 
Your politics
Your sexuality
You wear a red hat
Do you agree with me?
No?
Then I hate you
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
Hang 'em high
On the town square

Time passes
Hearts soften
It was all smoke and mirrors
The driving force of hate
Is a constant struggle
And destroys everything in its path
Why can't we see
Love is easy
It heals
And is for everyone
If we accept it
For in the end
There is only love
