There Is Not Time Forever
there is not time forever
cold took my hand as delicately
as fine Irish lace
at my cuff
following the twist and curls
of nerve.
thoughts traced sparking bursts
sensations once felt
again overwhelming, wait
ahead in a soft gauze of tomorrows.
begins at the ending
a path of conclusions
broken by obsidian reflections
life that was but not yet
an armful of surprises pink and mauve
pots of i love you jam
keep mornings sweet
we are centred in a living kaleidoscope
I will be there in our valley
green and lush
filled by those who love us
the colours slightly paled
for without your light
all creation dims
I will wait for you again and again
if it takes one thousand years.
