There Is More To Moore

Although I have never experienced a tornado or lost a loved one to a storm, I was moved by the spirit and resilience of the people of Moore Oklahoma. In May there comes an evil wind That's worst than flood or fire It carries off our will to live And crushes life's desire This time of year, is free from fear In most lands that I know of But living here, the price is dear Losing those we all love When spring arrives, it's beautiful The best month of the season But, tempest grow, we all know The sky fills fast with treason To run and hide seems futile When warnings come to late Found in its path, the after math Is something that won't wait Why do you live here, We are often asked We live here, cause we love here It's our future and our passed We are not leaving And we are not alone Truly there's no other place That we could call our home So we morn our children Neighbors , family, friends Then join our hands in humble pray And build our town again

Living in a fairly temperate area here in England we don't know how lucky we are not to suffer these life changing weather events. Well written Jerry thank you for sharing this with us. Andy
