There Is July

As I see leaves of tree are green
As you feel summer blooms. July.
I still fight, but I cannot win
I still try, but I cannot fly.
You are known that I need for thee
I’m despising my lonely life
I will come I will bow my knee
I will ask you to be my wife.
You can’t say to my own “get in”
I am known you don’t want to lie
Just like yesterday, leaves are green,
Just like yesterday, there’s July.

Some universal stuff there. We can but try. Human instinct. Keep writing. I see some lightness coming through. My hopes for you are growing strong just like your skill for the poetic. Your friend in NZ David
