There Is a Window
There is a window
That opens
Maybe once, maybe twice,
In a lifetime--
Something that doesn't happen
every day,
Something that is a gift
From the universe
of possibility.
When it comes
We must be ready
To step through that portal,
Into that world of dreams
come true,
Into another dimension
Where light and love shines,
And darkness is dispelled.
Then, if with hesitation
We pause too long,
The window will close,
And darkness will descend
To thrust us
Into a pit of regret.
