There Is a Star

Oh, there is a star with my name on it
And I have followed it for years and years
I've thought that I should write it a sonnet
That heavens could read but nobody hears

My star is always there where it should be
Clouds might obscure it but surely it's there
It is older, yes, much older than me
And it seems to understand but not care

My four score years left me with aches and pains
But my star has done at least a billion
And shows no sign that his twinkling light wains
Oh,I'm sure he's got another million.

Best of all my star makes enormous sound
Yet he keeps it to himself we have found.
