There Is a Rock
There is a rock, a steady rock.
That has lasted through the ages.
A place of comfort and shelter, too.
A safe place from the storm that rages.
You see, this rock, this steady rock,
Has been tried and tested by the storm.
Though the waves have beat it, it’s never been defeated,
And it will never be broken down or torn.
This steady rock, this sturdy foundation,
Upon which my feet are planted.
Will never give way to the storm around it,
Although it is taken for granted.
This steady rock’s name is Jesus Christ,
The Lord and the Savior to men.
He’ll save a soul, and heal wounded hearts,
And He’ll do it again and again.
