There Is A Magnet Pulling Time

There is a Magnet Pulling Time
by Frank Daub

There is a Magnet pulling years as I go along
	My Time.
The pulling out of sadness
	And of JOY –
The quick arise of everything I thought was mine --
The Magnet calls and pulls
	And notebooks in the Divine
	of memories.
I wonder where that album is that holds my life,
And living photographs of Loved Ones too.
All lifted into pages that are bright.
It is only the brightness that I can see.

The Magnet Lives
in an eternity of Love.

The form, with its indented lines and varied capitals, gives the poem a gentle, shifting rhythm, echoing the magnet’s pull. The album of “living photographs” is a tender image, gathering sadness, joy, and loved ones into the brightness of enduring love.
