There is a darkness oily and slick
Like a plague in a mind so sick
To look at a child and feel allowed anyway
To touch break trust enjoy lust and rape
There is a sordid kind of soul
Who murders innocence and hope
Could be this was once a child
Victimized who grew up to act it out
There is a darkness in abuse
Of anyone and self include
Using drugs or abusing food
Darkness can cause suicide too
There is a darkness in evil eyes
Just before they take a life
It matters not the reason why
The act will stain and drain inside
Without darkness there is no measure
Of light love and peace doves treasure
Darkness is scary and awful a fright
We must fight together lovers of light.
