There In the Wild River

There in the wild river
By Michelle Morris

There in the wild river
Where the white rapids flow
They're chasing down new dreams
They're chasing rainbows

And the salmon
They swim upstream
They battle against
The raging currents

This is nature's way
How she makes sure
That the strongest
Will survive and thrive

And the bears
They enjoy the feast
They fatten up
For the long winter ahead

The cycles
And the seasons
They continue
Long after we're all dead

And there in the wild river
Where the white rapids still flow
They'll always chase down new dreams
They'll forever chase new rainbows

Michelle, Forever's chase in rainbows and rivers, yes. A salute to the chase in all dreams. -Richard
