There Are Days
There are days
There are days the sun will find another place to shine,
allowing darkened clouds to paint the view
Shadowed shades of merlot like a wasted glass of wine,
spilled where once the skies were azure blue
Raindrops drench your shoulders as you try to run and hide,
drowning every hope along the way
Thunder screams the heavens as you feel your heart has died,
falling to this angry stormed display
Till you take a moment and you dry your every tear,
knowing there is one you can depend
Soon you’ll see the clouds have gone, the sky is crystal clear,
remembering she’ll always be your friend
Written for a very special friend who I wish I hadn’t broken up with a long time ago. : )
Thank you my sweet friend.
