Innocent caring is taken for collusion. Through silence, there is guilt. Through guilt, there is a sense of powerlessness. But in this room, we can stop the misremembering. We can find fault in those old feelings. There is something solid about the truth. Unlike the wispy memories that are ruthless. We resist keeping secrets in the place. As I am forced to step out at the end of the hour… I find that the protection from this room- Follows me like the guilt. The guilt I never intended to leave in that room.
