Therapist

I met a vocalist Who can sing along to the beat of my heart Or maybe She is a therapist Because she can heal my feelings when they suffer a deep cut She told me that i can't save everybody I can only play my part, and when love burns out i can slowly relight the spark Her words are like medicine If not music to my ears,or a shield to my fears I felt like i was the reason why Eve had to bite the apple Why Kane had to kill Abel She diagnosed me with an illness called "Self blame" And told me that self doubt is only a stain She prescribed an antidote for me called "let go of the past" and "find someone to lean on" Its been a few minutes since i took it and i can feel it terminating the symptoms of self blame syndrome I can feel it neutralising the poison i swallowed And leading me away from the anonymous voices i followed My heart was brittle But she built a cage around it Made from steel bars of hope She quenches my thirst for euphoria And makes me stand against all kinds of phobia My ears are throbbing for her therapeutic voice Which gives me pleasurable seclusion When my mind drowns in confusion, her thoughts avail themselves just to give me direction
