Then and Now

It was a day much like today…

That the first stone was thrown
Some presidents were shot to death
Death came from the skies to the towers
Bombs exploded taking lives of true innocents
Guns were taken by the young to kill fellow students

It was a day much like today…

That a resolution came to various wars
There were presidents that were inaugurated
People traveling abroad made it to their destinations
Babies laughed, while awaiting their parents, at daycare
Students were safe and remain so while studying their courses

It is a day like today…

That we should be thankful
For that which is good in the world
Not forgetting the past, but using it to better
The present and the next tomorrow for us and for all

Excellent form and massage! I could not agree more, live now, learn from what has come before, and move forward, write on Mike! Kristin

We never know, as we start each day, what day will go down in history. Either for something wonderful, or something terrible. So any day that is just "average", we should be thankful. Great insight here, Michael. ~ Carrie
