Theme Emerges

Struggling.....
pouring over the words,
their meanings, the nuances and innuendos...
writing and rewriting...
eraser shnibbles all over the desk
paper rolled up into balls
strewn everywhere around the trash
the words tumble and fall
sometimes building
sometimes crashing
a medley of rhymes and meter
cascading over the page...
when suddenly...
a theme emerges
the words fall into place,
heart strings are tugged
eyes begin to tear as the purity and truth
shine through in glorious retribution...
This.... the writers final triumph.

And, when it does, isn't it wonderful, magic, a miracle from the universe ... smile ... you've got to change one little letter here ... in line #5 I know you mean "scribbles" however, like me, you get to typing so fast the next thing you know we have snibbles which is okay too ... LOL ... hope you come back in December with lots more great writes!!

Thank you for the lovely comment. I did mean schnibbles, meaning tiny little pieces, like the tiny bits of an eraser left on the page when you use it. :::smile:::

This was so lively and so very true. Sometimes poems come so easily and some time s you rightly mentioned they take so long to travel though our heart to the paper lying. And when they do...Ahhh its really a triumph. Victory of passion they say:) Lovely poem Tracy. Love, Chitra

to I have to completely reverse it - all of my couplet poems are written with-in a matter of 5 minutes if even that - After the first or last two lines come out the rest of the poem comes as fast as I can write it - The other forms I've written in I learned here and they take a lot more effort - I often wonder if others poems come out like that - Any how I loved your poem and I love you as a person and I hope that you have a very blessed Sunday - Michael - God Bless - Thanks for that comment

Trudy - First I wish to thank you for your comment on "The Sinner And The Son" because it really struck home this morning - By the way good morning - This poem is so true - You expressed it so well - You know when I was in Prison all the poetry I wrote was couplet I didn't know about any other forms are anything - And the way those poems come out is either the beginning or the end will come - If the end comes out first the poem comes to me from bottom to top and after it's written I have (Cont)
