Them Everyone

Writing freely
From my newly glued on tips
of plastic glued to my nail
a semi-permanent solution
to looking put together
as my sister advised
these fake glued on nails
make it look like you tried
for every day you wear them
if everything else is a mess
at least you can have these plastic tips
to pronounce anything else
but the laziness or carefree nature
of perhaps letting your nails be
as they are, alone and without configuring
don't get me wrong, I enjoy the beauty if not the controlled stigma
of looking one way and being or feeling another
who cares if your inkling goes against the thoughts or judgement of others
at the end of the day at least you can say
I've fooled them all and still I feel empty
