Their Valiant Souls Are Now Set Free

They came from near ‘n far away
Resolved to face fear anyway
To fight a war on foreign soil
Thru swamp ‘n desert they did toil
So harm could not come to us here
They carried on thru sweat and tear
Some did not make the journey home
Their bodies spent, never to roam
The plains and mountains n’er to see
Their valiant souls are all set free
They now soar peacefully above
Sent to their rest with all our love

You fought for the red, white, and blue
Our prayers of thanks go out to you!
