Their Time

Little boys walking around with Tech 9 in hand
Barely grown, yet men inside their heads
All because they've had no proper teaching
No love of a man
Little girls twerking, taking off her clothes
Loss of innocence in front of millions, her inside fears exposed
Just trying to fit in by the image portrayed
Because of social media she's becoming a slave.
I'm sad for our children
So many things they do not know
They don't know to fist fight
Live to see another day
They don't know they're beautiful
In their own special way
We must start to fix this
They must be taught
For they are our future
They're all that we've got
It's our time to step up show them what's right
Teach love and compassion
Not lonely, cold hearts
When all the bullets have stopped
All the bright lights of Hollywood go out
It's these wounded souls
That will rule the world we forgot.
