Their Time

There they sat, together, the mother and daughter
Reading the writes of many hopefuls, many poets
With eyes widening, together they share the joy of words
They share the joy of laughter, togetherness and love
Together, the share of each other, a moment of perfection
For no other moment could steal away such a pleasure
As this morning brings two hearts closer forever

I guess I have no daughter to share my poetry with and neither my husband or sons have any interest in those special moments that words can bring. Thanks to all of you for reading my poems and giving me encouragement to keep on writing. God Bless Phyl

It's amazing how words can bring people together. What a wonderful reflection. As my daughter and I share poetry, I can relate to the connection you speak of. The emotion comes through your words. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your ongoing encouragement. Keep on writing! Karen
