Their Little Legacy
I am crocheting beautiful blankets.
Afghans, with love, created.
This is a fading skill,
terribly outdated.
For each of my grandchildren
I'm creating a one-of-a-kind.
Each is a little different,
if they compare them, they will find.
Dark and masculine colours
for my grandson, the oldest.
A variety of pastels for the rest,
ranging from soft to boldest.
I want them each to have one.
A memento of love from me.
Love was poured into each stitch
of their little legacy.
