Their Cost

Vast is the valley of the forgotten.
Trampled beneath the ground; lost
All this life, here lies; cost

"All this life, here lies; cost" It would be a very graphic and morbid scene, but time has "trampled" it and covered it. The greenery grows from the blood and effort of those that fought and the wind carries their war cries. War is ugly.
