Theft of Innocence

Another fight brought forth this day.
The pieces fall not kept at bay.
I must draw strength and not show fear.
My thoughts I hide from one so dear.

I look the part but not inside.
My childhood soul still tries to hide.
So many years have come and went.
A wasted youth now recompense.

I share this fear with more than one.
I pray for justice to one day come.
My hearts been locked and hid away.
I hide my shame now every day.

Please give me rest my mortal soul.
The pain I feel grows very old.
A past I have and can’t forget.
Along with others he’ll pay his debt.

It's a deep cut that never heals. Sometimes I have dark days and write like this I just don't post many of them. Thanks for caring.
