The Youngest Us Champion

There's a little girl who loves to fly Who became the youngest U.S. champion ever By winning her first major competition At only the age of thirteen And then a year later She won her second major title Her name is Dominique Moceanu!
The first time I saw her perform And do every jump, twist, or other moves that she does My heart opened up and let her become my second sweetheart.
She's had an awesome career in gymnastics That got started on December 18, 1991 And she's still young in the sport So there's no telling how many medals she will win If she can stay healthy and free of injury.
Just six weeks before the start of the Olympics She suffered the worst injury of her young career When she suffered a four-inch stress fracture But that didn't keep her from competing She helped lead Team USA to the gold medal.
