The Writer's Block Curse
This is bad, real bad.
The pen won't touch the pad.
Try as I might,
I just can't write!
I scribble it out and try again.
I wanna curse and shout and break this pen!
It's a quarter past ten,
And this pad hasn't been written in!
I look down and frown;
Not one verb, adjective, or noun!
I jump out from my little nook,
And with disgust I throw my notebook!
I'm just unable to write a verse,
It's the writer's block curse!!
I restart looking deep within my heart.
I grip this pen but scrambled thoughts are tearing me apart.
There's a dark cloud over my minds eye;
Silence can speak so loud and my thoughts are flying high!
I concentrate and formulate a few words,
But nouns and sounds aren't complimenting my verbs.
This is not the norm, the sentences won't form.
My creativity in my mind is confined in a hailstorm!
What could possibly be more worse?
I've sunk into obscurity of the writer's block curse......
