Moments crash down around me
Peppering my thoughts with insight
Wonderful inspirations so alive
Colored in hues of happiness and light
Moments invite me to sing praises
To the One who breathed life into me
Sensing my every hope or need before
I even had the chance to pray for a thing
Moments whisper treasured visions, verses
Silent reveries who are welcome and worthy
Leaving my heart with sweet, tender melodies
Murmuring through my soul in kindly smiles
Moments last to caress my very dreams
With laughter and love, lasting serenity
Soothing and comforting, fulfilling my beliefs
Like celebrations of the One who made everything
Moments write the words for every poem I pen
Reminding me why I’m alive and why my heart sings
With joy and delight, feelings that strengthen me
Ringing through my life like a guitar playing faithfully
Moments remember me in their soft reflections
Lighting the way for me to believe in their acceptance
Painting the world in faith and love, lingering from above
All the world, because of words, resonates thanksgiving
Moments like these, when I long to give generously
All of my heart poured across the empty page
Silence awakening the desires of my soul, the knowing
That love this alive comes from a writer’s insight
Moments to dream, moments to be, moments to see
There is more than a feeling locked away with the pen
Who bleeds emotion, inspiration, imagination, wishes
Onto the heart who listens to the caress of the dream
Moments like these send a message to the reader
Listen to me, friend, and find the faith to conceive
Of a moment, a rhyme, a time when you, too,
Could open up your veins and pour them across the page
