The World Will Never Know
There are red carpets
untouched by my feet
and film credits without my name.
Microphones not knowing my voice
and lenses unfamiliar with my face.
Spotlights I will not stand in,
stages I will not appear on.
People I will never get to meet.
And there is only one heart all of this is breaking.
