The World Was Ours
Years ago, we sat at the picnic table, near the beach
Our lives came together, as we talked for hours
An understanding bloomed from dark things we knew
A bright connection began with immediate strength
- In that time, it seemed the world was ours -
We flew from there, wings flapping, a team in flight
Until, you were suddenly taken out of the sky
- And I fell at your grave -
