The World Today

Everywhere I go go go,
Everyone says no,no,no.
I’ve got no time for you, they say
They’re just so busy, they run away.

No more fun and no more laughter
Money and power are all they’re after.
Run, run, run, quick, quick, quick.
They don’t know the world is sick.

Time is running out, they feel.
They’re running after what’s not real.
Continual pursuit of fame and glory.
Right from the start, ‘s been the same old story.

Fight, fight, fight for more, more, more,
They’re just thirsty for blood and gore.
Debauchery rules in this final era,
We’re all caught up in a world of terror.

There is a solution for those who seek
Sincerity, fidelity, yes, those who are meek.
A brand new world will replace the old.
It’s called God’s Kingdom as Jesus has told.

For that was his purpose to come to the earth
In order to restore what became lost at first.
To give us a sample of what will take place
When he rules as King over every nation and race.

Frankii Fame March 19, 2019 at 1:39 AM the content and the execution are wonderful.... it is almost a sign spoken silently to me when I spoke today of how Big Pharma is so concerned with $ to care more about their pockets than these proven natural methods with scient. fact that our own bodies can cure and shield itself with immunity.... and we have been taught to be blind beyond mainstream, and our ssociety allows it.... sorry I'm rambling... however, your poem related to the thoughts on my mind this day... that is great writing! Arthur Vaso December 16, 2018 at 1:08 AM The world haunt changed a bit, it simply depends once outlook, there are the same amount of good and bad since the beginning of time. If one chooses well, they find people who seek more than money and power. Nice poem!
