The World That You Would Know
I saw that look upon your face
You thought I did not see
The disappointment in your eyes
Clearly meant for me
A vision of the future,
It pressed into my brain
I know that I could have my way
And that you’d remain
You’d regret your decision
Though one that you would own
No matter the adventure
You’d not leave me alone
That look I saw made me sad
Clearly meant for me
To realize what I must do
With no guarantee
My love is strong, though I am weak
So, I must trust, let go
To open doors for you to seek
The world that you would know
